JOB SUMMARY: The Cardiac Monitor Technician I (CMT I) provides continuous observation of ECG patterns for patients on telemetry. The CMT I notifies appropriate nursing staff and physicians within a designated hospital unit of changes from baseline, abnormal heart rhythm patterns, and abnormal ECG interval measurements. The CMT I is competent in medical terminology and possesses technical, communication, organizational, and computer skills.
