Focused on the Cariac service lines analysis, curation and development of custom solutions for the Pulse Heart Institute. Works closely with clinical and operational leaders to develop insights, create recommendations, and delivery a curated suite of powerBI solutions.
Position Summary
The Decision Support Consultant supports enterprise Business Intelligence in the deployment of highly complex, cross-functional enterprise-wide analytic solutions. You will assist executive leadership in their decision-making process and provide recommendations to optimize financial and contractual outcomes of negotiations, quality process improvement and waste reduction within a complex organization. You will perform requirements analysis to design, develop, deploy and maintain reporting and analytical or business intelligence applications using a variety of data sources.
Responsibilities:
You will perform data analysis functions across large data sets, encompassing multiple key measures and long-term trend analysis to include management reporting utilizing software to generate metrics, data discovery applications, dashboards, and administration of BI platform
You will compile and analyze operational information from various areas of the organization and develop integrated analyses and reports using complex analytical and database applications.
You will provide consulting services, which includes communications and presentations to work groups, management, executives and steering committees
You will serve as the liaison between clinical and operational owners and data warehouse and architecture personnel to deliver needed infrastructure
You will curate a suite of tools dedicated to the specialty area assigned for expertise
You will deliver insights and content to drive cost savings across the spectrum of work
You will monitor significant changes to key business statistics and performance indicators in order to demonstrate possible business trends
Requirements
Bachelorâs degree in business administration, Informatics, Healthcare Informatics or advanced technical equivalent certifications and relevant experience
Masterâs degree or Epic/Clarity certification preferred
Seven (7) years of experience in enterprise and business information system development, solution engineering, project management, analysis, or process improvement in healthcare
Seven (7) years of experience in an analytics or development setting (data analysis/data visualization, graphic design), translating data into effective visualization; healthcare industry experience preferred
Expert knowledge of data warehouse concepts, project management techniques and support technology, applications, programs, and services
Experience with healthcare systems such as Epic, Business Objects, and interfaces in hospitals and/or clinic settings or with a healthcare system vendor preferred
Current Washington State Driverâs License

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $117,603.00 - $162,406.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicantâs years of experience align.
