The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the prestigious University of Minnesota is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time board-certified/eligible Pediatric Cardiology Physician with a primary focus on echocardiography to join our distinguished team as an Assistant, Associate, or full Professor. As Minnesota's leading pediatric cardiology practice affiliated with a top-tier medical school, the Heart Center offers a supportive environment strengthened by a comprehensive team of cardiologists, CV intensivists, care coordinators, and three surgeons--all nestled within a true children's hospital setting on a vibrant academic campus. Here, children receive exceptional, personalized care from specialized cardiovascular providers in a friendly, child-centric atmosphere designed to ease their pain and foster recovery. The Pediatric Heart Center conducts around 12,000 echocardiograms, including over 1,600 fetal echocardiograms annually. About the Appointment:
- Seeking a candidate with a strong interest in transesophageal and fetal echocardiograms.
- Primarily responsibilities: performing and interpreting echocardiograms, including transesophageal and fetal.
- Potential for directorship of echocardiography lab is available dependent upon qualifications.
- Clinical duties based at University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.
- Duties include clinical pediatric cardiology, attending rounds, and cardiology clinics.
- Teaching responsibilities for medical students, residents and fellows; involvement in curriculum development.
- Participation in research projects and academic activities, with a focus on independent or collaborative research.
- Opportunity for scholarly work, faculty development, and active involvement in national organizations.
Qualifications:
- Board eligible/certified in Pediatric Cardiology
- Must have demonstrated involvement in clinical or basic science research through publications anticipated or published in peer-reviewed journals
- Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure

Pay and Benefits:
This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $230,100-$456,000 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
