We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiologist to join our dynamic team, contributing to both clinical excellence and academic advancement.
Job Summary:
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine enthusiastically announces the recruitment of a general cardiologist to provide clinical cardiology services, predominantly at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. This cardiologist will deliver care to our military veterans in both inpatient and outpatient settings at the Assistant Professor level on a clinical educator pathway. Expertise in echocardiography, as demonstrated by board certification in echocardiography, would be highly beneficial.
7/8th VAMC and ~1/8th of work at UMSOM
Qualifications:
Requires an MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent).
Must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license, be board-certified in internal medicine and board certified/board-eligible in cardiovascular medicine.
Fellowship training in cardiology and will demonstrate potential for excellence in clinical care and teaching.
Expertise in echocardiography, as demonstrated by board certification in echocardiography, would be highly beneficial.
United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
