The role you’ll contribute:
Performs a wide variety of professional nursing care activities and accommodates services for the physicians and the practice, following established standards, practices, policies and procedures. Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Performs general nursing activities, ensuring quality care and efficient/timely flow of patients.
·Assists Cardiologist and APPs with in-office procedures and ancillary clinics (i.e. lipid clinics, heart failure clinics, anti-coagulation clinics).
·May perform minor procedures independently under the direction of the Cardiologist/APP.
·Supervision of nuclear stress tests, treadmill stress tests, stress echos and chemical stress tests in the outpatient practice setting.
·Reads and interprets electrocardiograms.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Minimum qualifications:
oBachelor's Degree BSN graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
o1 years experience with supervision of exercise stress tests including nuclear stress tests, treadmill stress tests, stress echos and chemical stress tests.
oAbility to supervise exercise stress tests including nuclear stress tests, treadmill stress tests, stress echos and chemical stress tests.
oAbility to read and interpret electrocardiograms.
oExcellent verbal and written communication
oStrong knowledge of EMR system
oAbility to lead and motivate others
oExtensive clinical skills in the specific specialty or specialties
oAbility to work with a variety of health care professionals and patients
oGood organization and planning skills
oShows initiative in growing professional knowledge by maintaining certification, BLS, and completion of an additional certification, related medical skill (i.e., phlebotomy certification), assists with practice huddles. Leads in a practice council or taking an AdventHealth Leadership/preceptor class
oCompletes Preceptor class(es)
oStrong aptitude to multitask and triage needs of patients and coworkers for efficient care
oSelf-initiated professional and leadership development
oAble to verbalize clinical rationale and workflow efficiency and show initiative in creating solutions.

oRN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Florida Board
oBCLS - Basic Life Support

·Preferred qualifications:
o1 years’ experience as a clinical unit manager or supervisor
o2 years professional nursing experience; Cardiology office/clinic
oAbility to interrogate and adjust pacemaker and/or defibrillator devices
oACLS & EKG - Electrocardiogram Certification 12 Lead
