ChristianaCare is seeking a BC/BE Cardiac Surgeon to join our Center for Heart & Vascular Health.

Join our comprehensive team at The Center for Heart and Vascular Health at ChristianaCare, consisting of 5 Cardiac Surgeons, 25 cardiologists and 16 advanced practice clinicians, in providing state-of-the-art treatments for cardiovascular diseases.

Position Highlights:

• ChristianaCare's experienced Cardiac Surgery team performs close to 1,000 procedures annually. The Center also provides advanced heart failure services including placement and management of left-ventricular assist devices.

• ChristianaCare is a regional referral center for patients throughout Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania for cardiac surgery procedures.

• Surgery procedures include coronary artery bypass, aortic and mitral valve repair and replacement, TAVR, TEVAR, Lead extraction, Mitraclip, ECMO, VAD, complex aortic procedures, and robotic coronary procedures.
• Dedicated 18-bed combined cardiology/cardiac surgery ICU staffed 24/7 with dedicated Cardiac Surgery Intensivists, Cardiac Intensivists, experienced surgical advanced practice team and ICU nurses and 10-bed Cardiac Step-Down Unit.
• Structural heart room with dedicated Cardiac Surgery block time for these procedures in multidisciplinary partnerships with cardiology and vascular surgery.
