Schedule: PRN - Includes providing coverage during the week (varies Mon- Fri 8am-5pm) and on call one weekend a month and for holiday rotation from 8am-12pm.
The role you’ll contribute: Assist physician with medical care in a physician practice setting. Communicates with physician(s)/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Assist the physician in providing medical care to patients in the physician practice setting
Documents pertinent information in patient charts by dictation or handwriting
Instructs patients for procedures, makes appointments and answers medically related phone calls at physician’s direction.
Performs venipuncture; administers injections; aids in diagnostic procedures
Takes patient vital signs and accurately documents these.
Qualifications - External
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Current North Carolina RN license required
BLS certification required within six months of hire
Medical Office experience preferred
