Our client, a 13-hospital health system with locations in central, south-central and northeast Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist for their affiliate Hospital.  They are the nation's first hospital to receive The Joint Commission / American Heart Association Comprehensive Heart Attach Center Certification and has been recognized as a Mission Lifeline Heart Attack Receiving Center.  System-wide, their Heart and Vascular Institute has 69 Cardiologists, 12 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, 12 Vascular Surgeons as well as 82 Advanced Practitioners.  

The multidisciplinary team members at the Heart and Vascular Institute participate in outcomes and population-based research through the Center for Health Research; molecular, cellular and genomics research and trials of new drugs, devices and techniques through their Center for Clinical Studies.  The Institute serves as an educational venue for five cardiology fellows per year and advanced fourth-year cardiology fellows, an annual Cardiology Symposium and frequent CME lectures.

A non-profit, acute care hospital recently awarded a 5-Star Quality Rating from CMC, employs 1,900 individuals, including over 200 employed practitioners. The hospital is licensed to accommodate 131 patients and recently completed a 4-story patient room improvement, modernization and enhancement project.

The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years post-fellowship experience with training in advanced coronary interventions.  The current scope of interventional cardiology includes STEMI care, percutaneous coronary interventions, atherectomy, shockwave therapy, brachytherapy, etc..  Noninvasive cardiology capabilities are preferred.
