The Cardiac Device Management Supervisor, under general supervision of the Practice Administrator, manages the Arrhythmia Clinic and supervises the Cardiac Device Management Technicians (CDMT) and Arrythmia Clinic Technicians (ACT) to include hiring, evaluating, coaching, engaging and administering progressive discipline when necessary to the techs under his/her immediate supervision.Responsible for training and orientation of new ACTs and CDMTs.Oversees daily work flow and scheduling of direct reports within the department, responsible for coordination between departments and patients, organizes and leads meetings in addition to functioning as a CDMT.Measures and tracks performance levels and revises procedures to optimize patient care and work flow.

Monitors and evaluates cardiac rhythms and rhythm EKG analysis in-person and from remote transmission
Evaluates online information, retrieval and triage of that information, prepares it for entry to electronic health record and physician evaluation.
Determines when an adequate test has been obtained and consults supervisor or cardiologist as needed.
Conducts telephone evaluations of recorded events and communicate those events to physician.
Takes medical history, record vital signs, schedule patients and equipment maintenance.
Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the staff of the Arrhythmia Clinic and will report any substandard employee conduct and behavior to the Practice Administrator.
Functions as primary point of contact for all providers for this department.
Responsible for the arrythmia services across all cardiology locations within AHMG.
Provides vision/direction for future improvements in technology including researching and assisting with implementation of new software and/or technology.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent
CDM on-the-job training or completion of an approved CDMT program
BLS Certification (American Hearth Association)
Preferred qualifications:
Previous supervisory/managerial experience
IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners) certification
