Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Lead Advanced Practice Clinician (NP/PA) for Cardiac Services at Morristown Medical Center
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) to help lead Cardiac Services for Morristown Medical Center. Home to the largest cardiac surgery program in New Jersey and ranked one of the 50 best hospitals in the nation for cardiology & heart surgery by US News & World Report, Morristown Medical Center's Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute serves as the hub of Atlantic Health System Heart Care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) with a clinical background in cardiology and proven leadership experience.
Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Director of Cardiac Services, the Lead Advanced Practice Clinician for Cardiac Services will be responsible for overseeing cardiac services including Cardiac Surgery, Cardiac Step Down, and Cardiac Medicine Services. The Lead Advanced Practice Clinician will also be responsible for recruitment and onboarding, training and performance oversight, professional development, and day-to-day operations of over 40 Advanced Practitioners.
This is a full-time, salaried position with the possibility for clinical work after six months of employment. Qualifications
Master's degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
ACLS and BLS certification required
Minimum of 5 years of NP or PA experience
Leadership experience required
Must have excellent communication and computer skills
Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
