Provide quality patient care to all patients within the Cardiac Cath/EP department. Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associates. Acts as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit. Provides leadership and support to the staff acting as a direct supervisor and reference. Primarily responsible for the day to day operation of the lab including scheduling of both staff and patients, supply levels and availability, equipment and procedural room usage, and other tasks pertaining to operations as develop.What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * Within 30 minute radius of the facility for on call* Ability to work 5 - 6 on call shifts per 6 week schedule* 2 years directly in Cath/Ep lab with competencies in scrub and monitoring roles for Cardiac Cath and device implant. * Experience in EP Ablation cases preferred.* Previous experience procuring supplies and managing consignment levels.* High School Diploma or GED required* Associates Degree required or must obtain within 2 years of being in the role* BLS from the American Heart Association required* ACLS from the American Heart Association required within six months of hire or transfer* Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI; OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES); OR RRT with post primary certification of Cardiac-Interventional Radiography through ARRT requiredPhysical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Minimum Pay:USD $34.56/Hr.Hiring Maximum Pay:USD $52.16/Hr.Your Connected Community:When people and places align, incredible things happen. The Porter Adventist Hospital Electrophysiology Lab/Cardiac Catherization Lab has three procedural rooms. These labs do ten or more invasive/non-invasive procedures daily depending on the day and procedures scheduled. The Electrophysiology Lab specializes in treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and device implants. The Cardiac Catheterization Lab treats structural heart disease and performs cardiac catheterizations. The labs care or all types of cardiac patients and treat everyone from critically ill patients on ventilators or ECMO to outpatients. These labs are specialty procedural areas and do not take overflow from other departments. The unit is committed to helping patients win their battles against heart disease and cardiac arrhythmias. Unit team members work four, ten-hour hour shifts, can circulate, monitor and scrub cases and participate in research trials. Porter is one of a few hospitals in the country to perform fluoroscopy-free ablations. Candidates for the unit will desire to work in a small team environment, be able to complete seven to twelve days of call per month, have excellent clinical reasoning skills and good judgment, and be able to cope with stressful situations.
