Leads the management of clinical service lines.
Cardiovascular Services Director FT Days Responsibilities
Coordinates the use of human and financial resources to ensure the service line(s) operates efficiently, effectively, safely and timely. Manages contracts and service agreements associated with the service line(s).
Evaluates, develops, and adapts the clinical and business processes of the clinical service line(s) to meet the ever changing healthcare environment and needs of patients and families.
Develops and markets expanded and/or new services in response to innovation, technology, strategic developments or compensation consistent with the goals of the clinical service.
Partners with other key departments to develop short and long range strategic plans for the service, operating and capital budgets, and an integrated strategic and financial plan for the service.
Develops, implements and manages strategic plans for Cardiac Services. Serves as key liaison between internal and external customers with respect to understanding business operations and reimbursement climate.
Establishes and maintains community outreach by way of screening and education for vascular and cardiac health. Evaluates, monitors and proposes operational recommendations relative to economic market forces for the impact to CHN�s product portfolio, and developing required tools, or product models.
Ensures system of effective physician relations practices designed to: identifies and initiates resolution of referring physician issues; develops positive relationships with referring physicians; encourages use of network services; encourages referral to network medical staff specialists; and provides information and intelligence from contacts in the network�s service area.
Ensures ongoing compliance with CMSS and/or other payer authorizations, documentation and data submission requirements for cardiovascular procedures including, but not limited to cardiac cath, stent, and ICD procedures. Leads efforts to achieve network accreditation/certification for cardiovascular service line areas including, but not limited to, echocardiography, nuclear, vascular testing, and chest pain center.
CARDIOVASCULAR SERVICES DIRECTOR FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor�s in Business, Finance, or Healthcare Management, or in a related field. National Incident Management System (NIMS) class to be completed within 6 mo of position date. Preferred: Master�s Degree in Business, Finance, or Healthcare Management, or in a related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Required: Ten (10) years of progressive broad management experience required in assigned service line areas, or related clinical programs and product development roles, to include experience with developing strategies for business development.. Knowledge of hybrid cardiac programs necessary. Must be able to work with and communicate effectively with all levels of management, business partners, and the general public.
