DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Rapid Response Nurse functions as the Charge Nurse in the ICU. The RN, Charge Nurse/Rapid Response is responsible for coordination of patient care, facilitating physician interaction, medical staff collaboration, and patient flow within the department. Additionally, the Care Coordinator assists with the orientation process for new associates, provides feedback regarding performance of Associates and participates in Quality Improvement activities. Duties include bed control/assignment, staffing, and various quality control audits.
