The role you’ll contribute:
The Cardiac Catheterization Transporter is responsible for transporting patients to and from the cath lab/EP labs and prep area, maintaining stretchers in a clean and ready to use state, assisting CRU when necessary, assisting patients to the bathroom, keeping blanket warmers full, guiding patient families to patient in post care setting i.e. CRU, CSDU, or CVICU. The CCL Transporter will work closely with the cath lab coordinator and EP coordinator in transporting patient to the prep area with adequate time for pre-op. The CCL Transporter will answer telephones and monitor the secretary’s desk when the CCL secretary is away from the desk.

- Transports patients to and from the cath lab/ EP lab and prep area under direction of lab charge or EP coordinator
- Maintains stretchers in a clean and ready to use state
- Transports clean beds from CRU to cath/EP labs to prepare for patients in procedure
- Assists CRU when necessary
- Assists patients to/from bathroom
- Escorts outpatients from surgical lobby to prep area
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

- Knowledge of supplies/QSite and billing/coding for the EP lab.
- Able to operate all equipment in various Invasive Cardiology labs.
- Able to operate and operate the x-ray equipment. Knowledge of placing service calls.
- 2-3 years of Electrophysiology lab experience.
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience in an interventional lab.
