SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for partnering with the Nurse Manager to assure department operations are carried out. He/She will also work with the Nurse Manager in organizing and evaluating the quality of patient care, coordination personnel and utilizing resources effectively in the delivery of patient care. Additional responsibilities include management and development of the unit, including, but not limited to , interviewing, hiring, and supervision of staff, assisting with developing and monitoring of budget, policies and procedures, both new employee orientation and ongoing education of staff, and management of quality improvement programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Four (4) years of related experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by State of employment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Master's Degree preferred.
