JOB SUMMARY:
The Cardiology Valve Program Manager (CVPM) is responsible for managing and coordinating all services required to support the individual health needs of patients requiring Cardiac Valve replacement, including Transthoracic Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR).The CVPM coordinates all cardiology valve center committee meeting agendas and minutes. The CVPM collaborates with interdisciplinary team members and the Medical Director of the Cardiology Valve Center to assure that professional and regulatory requirements are met.
The Cardiology Valve Program Manager upholds high standards of integrity and ethical behavior, mentors others, role models professionalism and participates in activities such as nursing organizations, nursing research, and the community.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education/Licensure/Specialized Training:
a. Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a bachelor's degree in nursing required. Master's degree in nursing preferred. Holds at least one (1) of the following in Nursing: Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree.
b. Licensure/Certification:
i. Certification in clinical specialty; if not held at the time of appointment must achieve within two years of hire, Cardiac Vascular Nursing preferred.
ii. Current license or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas; current BCLS.
2. Work Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of work experience in related clinical area of practice.
3. Management Experience: Minimum of two (2) years in management or supervisory capacity.
4. Equipment Operated: Computer skills in Windows environment, word processing, data base management and reporting spreadsheets.
5. Skills/Knowledge: Completed education on hospital coding recommended.
