Your Role:

The Care Partner assists with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

• There is a $5,000 sign on bonus for eligible new full time hires. Rehires who have worked for VUMC in a full-time job in the past year would not be eligible for the signing bonus. PRN and all rehires are eligible for the signing bonus after the 1 year waiting period

Unit Summary

On the the VAD & Heart Transplant Unit, a typical shift would include working with a dedicated team to care for adult patients who require ventricular assist devices (VADs), heart transplants, total artificial hearts, pre- and post-coronary artery bypass and valve surgeries, advanced heart failure, chest pain, arrhythmia, and pre- and post-procedure patients.

The VAD and Transplant Unit at Vanderbilt is located on the 7^th Floor of Vanderbilt University Hospital, known as 7 Medical Center East (MCE).

The environment on our unit is a friendly, focused on teamwork, and flexible to accommodate our patient's needs.

Position Shift:

• Full-Time; Days; 7a-7p; 36 hours per week 3 12-hour shifts
