Overview
Morristown Medical Center is seeking a per diem Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech for the Vascular Lab to work 2-3 shifts per week (primarily 7AM-7PM) and weekends and call as required.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Working as part of a team of Vascular Technologists the selected candidate will perform all comprehensive vascular exams, complete all reports and communicate with physicians and other staff as needed .
- Selected candidate will be competent in upper and lower venous and arterial duplex, PVRs, carotids, upper and lower vein mappings, and abdominal exams (Aorta, Renal, and Mesenteric Artery Duplex).
Qualifications
Education:
- HS Diploma required.
- Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
Experience:
- RVT/RVS or eligible. Must obtain registration within one year of hire date.
- Candidate will be required to work two weekends a month.
- Physical and cognitive requirements: Position`s physical requirements necessitate a full range of body motion including but not limited to, physically assisting patients, requiring stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing and pulling.
- Continuing education required. CPR certification thru the American Heart Association required.
