Overview
Overlook Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a Per Diem Patient Care Technician for Cardiac Telemetry. The shift is 7am-7:30pm including every other weekend and as needed by department.
Responsibilities
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living
Obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights
Assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
Performing post mortem care; measuring and recording I & O; performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition to the RN
Maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of Healthcare Provider Course within six months required
- 6 months prior healthcare experience with patient care experience preferred
- BLS preferred; required within 3 months of hire
