Summary
Cardiovascular Tech performs specialized cardiovascular procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, including but not limited to: records hemodynamic pressures and computerized data, operates special X-Ray equipment, burns c.d.�s, assists the invasive/interventional cardiologist and Vascular Surgeon with procedures using sterile technique and has knowledge of cardiac medications.
Qualifications:Education
Required: Graduate of accredited program in Radiology Technology, or Equivalent or Graduate of accredited Cardiovascular Invasive program or equivalent (CCI)
Experience
One year Interventional Lab experience required;One year experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, preferred
Certifications
Required:
- Radiologic Technology Registration/Licensure as required (ARRT)
- Florida License CRT
- RCIS within 12 months of hire required
- ACLS Certification
- BLS Certification
Other Qualifications
- Field of expertise: Cardiac Catheterization, American Heart Association BLS/ACLS Certification, Interventional Cardiac Catheterization and or EP experience is preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language
- Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment
