Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist for the Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute of Connecticut, part of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, located in Hartford, Connecticut.
This is an exceptional opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and expertise in overseeing a busy, successful inpatient and outpatient Heart Failure service and in consolidating programs to implement outstanding heart failure care across the entire spectrum of the disease. You will have the opportunity to work with an outstanding HF team and a multidisciplinary team of electrophysiologists, interventional cardiologists, heart valve experts, cardiothoracic surgeons, non-invasive cardiologists, and state of the art Echocardiography Lab.
The selected candidate will practice as a full-time member of the cardiology group in one of New Englands highest-volume cardiovascular institutes and enjoy faculty appointment at the UCONN School of Medicine. We welcome Board Certified or Board Eligible candidates with experience or interest in advanced heart failure. Interest in heart failure population health and cardiopulmonary exercise stress testing are welcome.
The Heart Failure Service at Saint Francis Hospital oversees a dedicated 28-bed inpatient HF Unit and outpatient care of more than 1,000 Heart Failure patients in the community. It is staffed by ABIM Certified Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologists, HF APPs and HF trained inpatient and outpatient RNs. The service has an official collaboration with Yale New Haven for LVAD and Heart Transplant therapies for Advanced Heart Failure patients.
The Heart Failure Service at Saint Francis Hospital has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognition: American Heart Association Gold Plus Award for Get With The Guidelines for Heart Failure every year since 2011 - present; and The Joint Commission Certification for Advanced Heart Failure since 2014 - present.
