The Cardiology APRN is a Baccalaureate prepared nurse with a Master's Degree in Nursing with educational curriculum that includes preparation in Adult and Acute Care. Their training must provide the didactic and hands on education to allow for the provision of a full range of health care services on the wellness-illness continuum to Adults. The Cardiology APRN may be a Nurse Practitioner or a Clinical Nurse Specialist and must have board certification consistent with their education from a national certifying agency recognized by the qualifying APRN Board and the appropriate Board of Nursing, VHA central office and the Office of Nursing Services.
