The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) performs duties in the Cardiac Cath Lab & Electrophysiology Lab under the division of Cardiology. The DRT primarily functions in a combined Scrub/Table role during invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. Duties include but are not limited to: Operate complex equipment used during procedures such as Intravascular Ultrasound equipment, Atherectomy & Thrombectomy equipment, intra-aortic balloon pump, temporary transvenous &/or external pacemaker, defibrillator, intracardiac echo imaging, contrast power injector, cautery, archival system equipment and other complex modalities specific to the procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab.
