The Patient Care Tech I will assist with conducting and documenting vital signs, changing and making beds, transporting patient, delivery of food trays and assisting with lifting in and out of bed. In addition will provide activities for daily living to the patient that includes bathing, feeding, and dressing. May also deliver and retrieve items from other departments within the hospital. Answer call lights and may functionÂ as a Unit Secretary, including preparing patient record and order entry.Â
A5 is a 27-bed intermediate care unit that provides care for patients that have undergone anÂ interventional cardiovascularÂ procedure. We primarily care for cardiac patients admitted from the Cardiac Cath Lab post stent placement, pacemaker placement & peripheral interventions. We also care for patients admitted for post CABG, post Fempop, Unstable Angina, NSTEMI, STEMI & peripheral vascular occlusions. The nurses run critical drips as well as maintain and pull arterial sheaths. We maintain a patient ratio of 1:3-1:6 dependent on patient acuity.

High School diploma or equivalent.
Strong customer service skills and computer literacy is required. Previous experience as a Patient Care Tech in a hospital setting preferred.
