The Administrative Assistant I supports the Cardiac Rehab department with administrative and secretarial support. Specifically, this position supports cardiac programs related to Nutrition Wellness, Fitness First, Osteoporosis Clinic, Pulmonary Rehab and Community Wellness initiatives. Functions of this role include preparation of reports, gathering statistics, formalize communications for internal and external distribution. In addition, this role will provide support to the Clinical Supervisors and other functions with the department and requests of the Operations Manager.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
Utilizes EPIC (electronic medical record system) and other software to support scheduling, insurance verification, registration, billing, and other department related reports.
Performs online ordering for orders received in written and verbal form.
Submits any repair requests, invoices, check requests for processing and execution.
Communicates effectively over the phone and in person to support the Cardiac Rehab and other departments.
Maintains and facilitates smooth day to day business office operations – works with Manager to reserve rooms and schedule department meetings.
Maintain ongoing supply and organization of department supplies.
Ability to be at work and be on time.
