The Registered Nurse practices in the Cardiac Cath Lab/Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab (CCUCEL) and the interventional Radiology (IR) unit. The CCUCEL has two rooms and IR has a suite, some IR procedures are done in CT and Minor Procedure Rooms. Additionally, some patient care is completed in the Radiology department and the Cardiology Diagnostic Department. The Registered Nurse practices as an RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab/Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab (CCUCEL) and/or the interventional Radiology (IR) unit. The CCUCEL has two rooms and IR has a suite, some IR procedures are done in CT and Minor Procedure Rooms. Additionally, some patient care is completed in the Radiology department and the Cardiology Diagnostic Department. The RN will participate in a variety of invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures are completed for both inpatients and outpatients, and there may be some need for clinical support in bedside procedures. Other duties are as follows, but not limited to: Prepare procedure room and equipment based on the patient needs; Verifies integrity of supplies and instruments; Performs required time outs; Positions and provides comfort to the patient; Provides moderate sedation as ordered; Completes appropriate documentation; Assists providers; and Recognizes and responds to emergency situations The RN may have additional duties such as Charge Nurse, scheduling patients, supply management, and responsibility for assisting in other duties required to maintain background functions of the units. The RN maintains effective interpersonal relationships with the Perioperative Services and inpatient nursing teams, providing hand off reports for continuity of care. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, and on-call Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
